The first meeting of the new Senate took place at the senate room on 15.03.2012. Pursuant to the law "On Higher Education in the Republic of Albania" and the election results on the authorities and governing bodies held on 20.02.2012 at Shkodra University, Rector Prof. dr Artan Haxhi enacted the new deans and the members of the Senate. The rector himself was enacted by the President of the Republic of Albania a few days ago. The deans of Shkodra University are as following: Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. as. dr. Mimoza Priku Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Prof. as. dr. Adem Bekteshi Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences Prof. as. dr. Gëzim Dibra Dean of Faculty of Economics Prof. dr. Arjeta Troshani Dean of the Faculty of Law Mr. Gasper Kokaj Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Dr. Rajmonda Këçira In the first meeting of the Senate, Prof. as. dr. Fatmir Vadahi was re-elected as the Pro-Rector of Shkodra University and Dr. Dhurata Hoxha who was voted as secretary of the senate. Dr. Gifts Hoxha was elected as the vice chairwoman of the Senate. The Rector of Shkdra University, Prof. dr. Artan Haxhi, congratulated the deans and the new members of the Senate and wished them a fruitful work.
