For many years the University of Shkodra has not only been known as a very important center of teaching but also as a scientific research centre. Professors and researchers have given their own precious contributions on different fields by producing many publications. They are authors and co-authors of many university texts, many monographs and publications with a scientific and divulgated character. These professors and researchers are authors and co-authors of many articles which have been published nationally and internationally. These articles are on different fields such as Albanology, linguistics, documentary and artistic literature, folk culture, history, philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, social-political doctrine, economic science, natural science etc. The University of Shkodra publishes a magazine titled "Buletini shkencor" (Scientific Bulletin). The publication of this magazine began in 1958 with only one edition. Publication resumed after persistent efforts and requests and a greater scientific, research work in 1964. The magazine is now published in four series:

1. Social Sciences series
2. Natural Sciences series
3. Didactic Sciences series
4. Economic and Law Sciences series.

"Buletini Shkencor" of the University of Shkodra, known as a scientific magazine (it was named by the commandment number 98 of the Ministry of Education and Sciences on 28.03.2000 based on the decree Nr 4, on 17.03.2000 of the Substantial Commission of the Scientific Periodic), has become the forum of the scientific work nowadays. Professors of this University have expressed and written their own ideas and opinions on various fields. National and international scientists have contributed significantly to this bulletin by raising the scientific level and the authority of the University of Shkodra in Albania and abroad.
